Your hosts: Ken and Diana

In 1975, the first calf was born into the Oban Park Stud. From then on we have built on a solid platform to achieve a Pure Bred Murray Grey Stud. The cattle have moved several times over the years until they settled with the rolling hills in Beach Road.

Five years ago we finally joined them, building a new home on the property.   

While travelling through the United Kingdom and Europe back in 1994, we discovered how interesting and enjoyable it is to meet and share in the local knowledge of our hosts in the various Bed and Breakfasts.

Being in the very fortunate situation of having such space on our farm we turned our overseas experience into building our countrystay cottage so others can enjoy our easy lifestyle and beautiful peaceful surroundings.

In 2010 it was with sadness that we decided to sell our Murray Grey cattle and so we embarked on a wonderful tour of Alaska, Canada and USA.

Having lived all our lives in Oamaru, bringing up our 3 children we are keen to share our  local knowledge of the geography and history with you
